20th Anniversary of the Harbour Authority
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans maintains a Small Craft Harbours Authority division which is nationally responsible for a $3 billion network of structures and services. First compiled and put into use in 1988, the Newfoundland and Labrador Immunization Manual published by the Department of Health got a 20 year anniversary facelift. Now in its 6th edition it has gone from black and white information to colourful creative communication. Easily navigable for quick reference, the manual is even more user friendly then ever before.

From delicious spicy Thai seasoned seafood appetizers to simple and comforting breaded mussels, Dockside Appetizers has developed in to an array of mouthwatering morsels. We broke the news that you'd be able to get them in your grocer's freezers across Canada but now they're sharing Newfoundland's best with the world. Dockside is now developing its complete line of products for export to Europe, starting with Greece!

The Gander International Airport Authority needed a display for a trade show that really set them apart from competitors. They wanted a vibrant presentation that represented the many stop-over and premium services offered to all types of aircraft at the world class airport. Our curvaceous display platform including four custom designed wrap-around panels and custom height banner bugs will do the trick when they set up down south in Georgia.

Well the lot of us has been welcomed rather abruptly to 2008 here at DRAY Media! Snow storms and staff with busted knees, colds galore, and poor Cat's being kept in the dark for a little while, literally, with a migraine. But we're also a dedicated bunch all injuries and symptoms aside! Care packages and antibiotics are greatly accepted, there' s nothing like a bowl of homemade chicken soup for busy winter afternoons.

Of course at the end of another year and at this seasonal time many folks are excited and want to get anticipated projects completed or launched. DRAY Media is thrilled to oblige and will be plugging in and switching on a number of new sites for our clients! Both the crisp and clean, shiny new websites for Atlantis Aviation and Atlantic North have gone live and the sharp looking website for Topsail Terrace has moved in. The blog for Morrissey and Company launched in August has been so well received and wildly read that they wanted to make it even bigger and better for clients. NLAC coming on board
The Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council wanted to trade in its monochromic website for something that really represented the vibrancy of the community of people they represent and help. The council wanted a new website that was intuitive to use so that the wealth of assistance programs and information resources offered were more easily accessible. They also wanted to be able to showcase the local efforts and contributions of the artists they support. So we're working on a bright and flashy new look for the, to launch early in the New Year!

Shedding a little light on a brand for Hydrocarbon Services
When running a large scale operation it’s important to keep it going, Hydrocarbon Services Ltd. has fully client-customized fuel software designed to monitor and track usage and inventory management to ensure day to day operations run smoothly. HSC provides their services to the Ekati Diamond Mine, the first and northern neighbor to Canada’s second diamond mine – Diavik, both in the North West Territories. The mine has produced over 26 million carats of diamond to date with annual revenues of $500 million a year for a projected quarter-century. HCS keeps the lights on, the drills drilling, and people moving and can now be proudly represented with their shiny new brand, a gem they’ve asked DRAY Media to create.

DRAY Media celebrated Canada Day back in 1610 this year, with a little help from the town of Cupids! To help further our developing promotional materials for the Cupids 400 Anniversary Celebrations, coming up in 2010, our savvy Creative Director and talented photographer Nate Gates hit the road to get some in-period snaps. Healthy Aging Seniors - Department of Health and Community Services
Newfoundland and Labrador’s aging population has become an increased priority.  Government developed a multi-step plan to implement over the long term to address the issue.  The Provincial Healthy Aging Implementation Plan will be initially released through three comprehensive documents.  To ensure the wealth of information was communicated clearly and in following with the Clear Print Accessibility Guidelines, DRAY Media was brought in to develop a bright and intuitive layout for the initial three action documents.

Dockside moves into Costco
What could be more delicious than a spicy seafood wonton?  A spicy Thai crab stuffed wonton in your grocer’s freezer!  Dockside Appetizers decided to expand its many delicious catered foods into packages and Costco got interested.  Initially offering to carry stock in four stores, after seeing the tantalizing packaging designed by DRAY Media, with complimenting photos by none other than Ned Pratt, they boosted that up to twenty!  We’re licking our lips to see what other treats will make their way off trays and into homes.

NLAD interactive CD
The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of the Deaf (NLAD) was ready to launch an interactive CD that was fully accessible, informative, and entertaining.  DRAY Media partnered up with NLAD to design and produce the showcase for their accomplishments in over 60 years of advocacy and education.  Featuring interpreter audio, ASL video, and visual text, the new CD will further equip NLAD to continue promoting a better tomorrow for all deaf people.

Inspiration ignites North of 60
From February 21 to March 13 one of DRAY Media's own was selected to be involved with the National Artists Program with the Canada Winter Games hosted in the Yukon. Our Marketing Director, Joshua Jamieson, was one of three artists chosen by the provincial government to join colleagues from across the country to fully develop a theatrical production (Defining Moments) with Artistic Director Lisa Stevens (Disney's High School Musical, Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera). After only a few days in Whitehorse, Lisa asked Joshua to become the Assistant Director of the production!  The opening and closing ceremonies Producer saw the production twice and asked if one of the numbers could be included in the internationally broadcast closing ceremonies. Excitingly enough, the number was one Joshua had assistant directed with choeographer Moe Brody (John Tucker Must Die)! 2007 marks the first time the Games have been held north of 60 and had the highest number of broadcast hours devoted (140 from CBC, TSN, Newsworld, RDS, and APTN).
